Annual Prize Nite 2025 Celebrated at Church School Beldih
Church School Beldih celebrated its Annual Prize Nite on April 25, 2025, with great enthusiasm. The program began with a prayer by Rev. Manoj Charan and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by school leaders and coordinators. A vibrant welcome dance by students set the tone for the evening.
Mr. Avinash Das, Honorary Secretary, delivered the welcome address, followed by an introduction of the chief guest by Acting Principal Mrs. Esther Mohanty. The school was privileged to welcome Sri Ram Das Soren, Hon’ble Education Minister of Jharkhand, as the chief guest for the occasion. Mementos were presented, and the school choir performed a melodious song.
Mrs. Mohanty also presented the annual report, highlighting the year’s achievements. The chief guest addressed the gathering and presented special awards along with committee members. Prizes were distributed to students from Nursery to Std. 12, including awards for Hindi project students, interspersed with song and dance performances by students.
The evening concluded with the school anthem, a vote of thanks by Mrs. Promila Joshua, and the national anthem sung by the school choir.
Church School, Beldih organized its Graduation Nite for the out going batch 2024-2025. On Saturday 18th January, 2025 to acknowledge the achievements of their dear students.
The Graduation Nite was graced by the presence of the dignitaries, faculty members, our dear students as well as their parents.
The programme started with a prayer by Rev. Manoj Charan. The welcome address was delivered by the School Principal Mr. Jacob Thomas which was followed by the Lighting of the lamp. A speech was also presented by Mrs. Bhawna Shah.
Sharon Patra, Dilpreet Kour, Anusha Rahin and Chitra Malvia shared their nostalgic experience of their School life. A speech was also given by one of our parents Mrs. Anita Massey.
The outstanding students were falicitated with special awards by the committee members and certificates were distributed to all the students of the outgoing batch.
The Graduation Nite ceremony came to an end with the National Anthem sung by our School choir and the vote of thanks presented by our Vice Principal Mrs. Esther Mohanty.
Church School, Beldih, hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sports Day for the academic session 2024-25 on 9th December, 2024 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The event was an exuberant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and perseverance, bringing together students, staff, and honored guests for a day filled with memorable moments. The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer by Rev. Manoj Charan from Beldih Baptist Church, setting a solemn and uplifting tone. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by the Principal, Mr. Jacob Thomas, who warmly greeted the attendees and acknowledged the significance of sports in fostering holistic development. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, starting with the Chief Guest, Mr. Pranesh Solomon, Vice Chairman of the Minority Commission, Government of Jharkhand. He, along with Guests of Honor, including Dr. Rakesh Paul (Tedx Motivational Speaker, Senior Pastor, Good News Center), Mr. Ajay Anup Minz (First Chief Agency Partner at Kotak Mahindra Bank Life Division APC Channel), Mrs. Shama Sukum Minz, Mr. Ashish Puri, Mrs. Vibhuti Asedra (Head Sports Events & Training Centres), Mr. Firoz Khan (Jogga Sports Promoter, JRD Sports complex.), and Dr. Hassan Imam (Chief Coach Tata Handball Training Centre), was presented with bouquets and mementos as tokens of appreciation. Each guest was introduced and honored by esteemed members of the School Managing Committee, such as Mr. Avinash Das (Hony. Secretary, Church School), Mr. Deepak Das (Hony. Treasurer, Church School), Mr. Wilson Challum (SMC Member, Church School), Mr. Alok Bose (SMC Member, Church School), Mr. Amosh Tandi (SMC Member, Church School), Mr. Jacob Thomas (Principal, Church School) and Mrs. Esther Mohanty (Vice Principal, Church School), who contributed to making the event a success. The festivities began with the hoisting of the school flag by the Chief Guest Mr. Pranesh Solomon (Vice Chairman of the Minority Commission, Government of Jharkhand), signaling the start of the celebrations. The march past by the four school houses, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of a marching band, captivated the audience. The lighting of the sports flame and an inspiring oath-taking ceremony led by Amit Mukhi of Class X further instilled a sense of pride and commitment among the participants. In his speech, Mr. Pranesh Solomon spoke on the significance of physical education, discipline, and teamwork in shaping young minds, inspiring the students and audience alike. He declared the meet open, urging the participants to give their best. The schedule featured a series of events, including drills performed by students of Classes I to VI, which showcased their discipline and synchronization. Track events, such as the 800-meter race, saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. A range of activities catered to both the Primary and Secondary Sections, with every event highlighting the students' dedication and sportsmanship.
As the day progressed, winners were celebrated in the Medal Ceremony for their outstanding achievements in various categories. The ceremony was a moment of pride and joy for students, teachers, and parents alike. The program culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Esther Mohanty, Vice Principal of Church School, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students for their contributions to the event’s success. The lowering of the school flag marked the conclusion of the day’s festivities, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Zonal Handball Selection Trial 2024 Commenced and Concluded Successfully at Church School Beldih
Jamshedpur, 12th-13th August 2024 – The Zonal Handball Selection Trial 2024 was hosted at Church School Beldih, marking a significant event in the region’s sports calendar. The two-day event, which took place on the 12th and 13th of August, brought together talented handball players from across the zone, competing for a chance to represent their region at higher levels.
The event was inaugurated on the 12th of August with a series of ceremonial activities. The opening prayer, led by Rev. Manoj Charan, set a spiritual tone for the proceedings, followed by a beautifully rendered prayer song by the school choir. Mrs. Esther Mohanty, Vice Principal of Church School Beldih, delivered a warm welcome address, emphasizing the role of sports in shaping young minds and encouraging participants to showcase their best talents.
The Chief Guest for the inauguration was Mr. Rituraj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, who was presented with a gift and bouquet by Mr. Avinash Kumar Das, Secretary of Church School Beldih, and Mr. Deepak Das, Honorary Treasurer. Mr. Sinha delivered an inspiring speech, urging the young athletes to embrace teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. The event also saw the felicitation of Special Guests of Honour, including Col. Earnest Paul, Deputy General Manager of Tata Steel UISL, who were recognized for their contributions to sports development.
The event continued on the 13th of August with the grand closing ceremony, which was graced by esteemed guests and dignitaries. The ceremony began with an opening prayer, again led by Rev. Manoj Charan, followed by the welcoming of the Chief Guest by Mrs. Esther Mohanty. A moment of honour was shared as Mr. Avinash Das and Mr. Deepak Das presented bouquets and mementos to the Chief Guest, acknowledging his significant contribution to the event.
Mrs. Vibhuti D Adesara, Head of the Sports Department at Tata Steel, delivered an inspiring speech during the closing ceremony, emphasizing the importance of sports in developing character and discipline among students. She congratulated all participants for their dedication and hard work. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Hassan Imam Malik, Joint Secretary of the Handball Association, was also felicitated for his unwavering support and contributions to the sport.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Sunemi Durgey, expressing gratitude to all the guests, participants, and organizers for their tireless efforts in making the event a success. The closing ceremony ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem performed by the school students, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity.

The honor was bestowed upon Mrs. Runa Rajiv Kumar, the esteemed Chief Guest, alongside Avinash Das (Honorary School Secretary), Mr. Deepak Das (Honorary School Treasurer), Mr. M.R. Das (Honorary Church President), Mr. D.K. Das (Honorary Church Secretary), Mrs. Esther Mohanty (Vice Principal), and Mrs. Promila Joshua (Senior Coordinator). Jamshedpur, 18th January 2024, Church School Beldih was proud to announce its Graduation Nite to celebrate the achievements and successes of the graduating class of 2023-24. The event promised an evening of inspiration, recognition, and reflection for students, parents, and faculty.
Rev.Manoj Charan lead the opening prayer, instilling a sense of solemnity and gratitude as the graduating class embarks on a new chapter. Adding a musical touch, our talented teachers presented a song, creating a harmonious atmosphere for the commencement of the night.
Esther Mohanty, Vice Principal of Church School Beldih extended a warm welcome to the attendees, and the lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by, featuring the Hony. School Secretary, the Vice Principal, and Senior Coordinator Mrs. Promila Joshua, along with the class teachers of Std. XII.
A pivotal part of the evening was the presentation of special awards to commendable students by the School Managing committee, the Church Executive Committee members, the President, the Pastor, the Auditors were present and handed over the trophies for the special awards. S. Laxmi Award for (Best in Economics) Sheetal Prajapati XII A, and Anand Chandra Sahu Award for (Best in English) Sheetal Rajput XII B.
Recognition was also extended to students displaying exemplary conduct, with Good Conduct Awards presented to Abhay Kumar Mukhi (XII A), Ariba Alam (XII B), Aryan Kumar Singh (XII C), and Ishika Prabha (XII D). Inspirational words from students Ananya Singh (XII A), Tehrima Sams (XII B), Gargi Thakur (XII C), and Jabes Naik (XII D) added a personal touch to the ceremony.
The evening continued with the distribution of mementoes and certificates to Std. XII A, B, C, and D students, symbolizing their successful completion of their academic journey. A heartfelt speech by a Parent Romiyo Naik and a motivating address by Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, a dedicated teacher, further enriched the program.
Culminating with the symbolic lighting of candles by students, representing the passing of knowledge and the students' readiness for new endeavour, Mrs. Promila Joshua expressed gratitude through the Vote of Thanks. The school song, elegantly performed by the teachers' choir, brought the celebration to a harmonious close.

The Annual Sports Day of Church School, Beldih was celebrated in J R D Sports Complex on 24 th November, 2023 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. Rev. Manoj Charan did the opening prayer. The Principal Mrs Esther Mohanty welcomed the chief guest Mrs Runa Rajeev Kumar, Head Sports, Corporate Communications (RM & Jharkhand), Tata steel and the special guest Mr. Pritam Thakur (Havaldar Instructor 37 NCC) with bouquet. Next the school secretary Mr. S.C.Das welcomed all and gave a brief report of the School's Sports activities and the student outstanding sports achievement of the session 2023-2024.This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the meet open by the chief guest, making the commencement of the ceremony followed by releasing of balloons, to mark the expression of joy and rejoicement.
The chief guest and special guest of honor were thereafter escorted by the Principal, for the inspection of the school appointments and the four houses' contingents. Next a spectacular, impressive and well synchronized march past by the four houses contingents of the senior and junior was judged by the special guest Mr. Pritam Thakur. Thereafter, the chief guest administered the oath to the school appointments, Sheetal kumari, Astha ghosh.
The chief guest Mrs. Runa Rajeev Kumar Head Sports, Tata steel gave a speech and declared the meet open. He lauded the energy, zest and vitality of students presenting the field display. He opined that sports is a very important part of education, because it makes students disciplined. He urged students to participate in sports with sincerity.
Next, there was a drill presentation by the primary section (Std I toIV) which was followed by field and track events for all. This entailed the prize distribution ceremony where the chief guest gave away medals and trophies to the sports event winners.
The zealous parents gathered in large numbers constantly applauded the participants of field and track displays. Dr. Hassan Imam Mallick guest of honour (international handball coach, Tata Stee) was welcomed by Mr. S.C. Das School Secretary with bouquet, Mr. Kishore Kaushal (IPS)the chief guest was welcomed by Vice Principal Mrs. Promila Joshua. Thereafter the chief guest of the closing ceremony gave away the prizes to the secondary section (Std VI- XII). Next, the meet was declared close by the chief guest and the school flag was handed over to the Principal after a slow march, by the school appointments. The lit flame was put off with a beating of the Retreat.
The programme was well coordinated and compared by all the sports teachers. The vote of thanks was proposed by the co-ordinator Mrs. Elina Ghosh. The meet culminated with the School Anthem and National Anthem.
The Annual prize distribution ceremony was held on the evening of April 28, 2023, at the premises of Church School Beldih. The program commenced with Rev. Manoj Charan. School Secretary, Mr. Sujit Chandra Das, welcomed the chief guest, Mrs. Nirmala Kumari Barelia (DEO), by lighting the lamp and presenting her with a memento. The Principal, Mrs. Esther Mahanty, presented the Annual Report. The chief guest energized the students with his motivational speech and distributed special prizes to boost their morale. Meritorious students from Nursery to XII were awarded prizes, and sports students who played at the national level were honored with special prizes. Saurav Sahu was awarded the 'Best Scout of the Year' award, and the children of the "Hindi Project School" were also recognized. A colorful program was presented by the school's children during the occasion. The program concluded with the singing of the school anthem by the Church School Choir team. The officiating Vice Principal, Smt. Promila Joshua, proposed the vote of thanks. The success of the program was credited to the management staff and students of the school.
Cooking without fire competition:
The students of Bharat Scout & Guide started the test for cooking without fire with enthusiasm and creativity. They had to prepare a nutritious and delicious dishes using only raw ingredients and minimal equipment. They used fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, cheese, yogurt, bread, crackers, and various sauces and spices to create their recipes. Some of the dishes they made were salads, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, dips, and desserts. The test was designed to assess their knowledge of food safety, hygiene, nutrition, and presentation skills. The students enjoyed the challenge and learned a lot from the experience.
It was held on 13th January, 2023 in Church School Beldih, school campus. There were 6 groups of Scouts & Guides who took part in this competition.
